A single Greater White-fronted Goose was a new arrival at Oberlin Reservoir (Lorain Co), this afternoon. The bird flew in in the company of six Canada Geese and was still present when I left. Single adult Glaucous and a third-cycle Iceland were the only unusual gulls detected, though I admittedly did not spend much time searching through the gulls. The flock was substanially reduced in size today (containing NO Great Black-backeds, down from 50 a week or so ago), and I was unprepared for the fury of the latest Arctic blast.
