Thanks to some help from two avid birders from this site, for requesting to
see Stan's pictures and identifying it as a horned grebe instead of an  eared
grebe (on March 21 at Killdeer Plains).  Very sorry about  that.
The Eurasian Widgeon was also seen by a large group of birders led by Tom
Hissong - so I know we didn't mess that one up.  :)
We also saw two common loons on the Reservoir before leaving.  They  were at
the southern end.  I can't believe we forgot to mention that.   We're still
pretty new at this.
Thanks for the help identifying the horned grebe from Stan's photos.   Once
again, very sorry for the mistake.
