The pair of White-wing Crossbills are gone from visiting my backyard bird feeding station, where they stayed in the fir tree and my water garden. They seemed to like the duckweed left over from last year. A lone Fox Sparrow appeared amidst the Dark-eyed Juncos on the ground. It was doing the "shuffle" and uncovered much seed underneath the leaves. Visit www.wildlifefriendlylawn.blogspot.com/ and read Today's Headlines about spring birds in Ohio.
