Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is a list of some of the birds seen here the last couple of days. Thoreau Lake Mallard-35 American Black Duck-545 Ring-necked Duck-3 male, female Wood Duck-2 male,female Hooded Merganser-male, female American Widgeon-male C Pintail- male,female Red-tailed Hawk-2 adults Turkey Vulture Great Blue Heron N Mockingbird American Tree Sparrows-3 Red-winged Blackbird--male Great Horned Owls-2 have been seen & heard around the East Blind since the end of November Naure Center Bird Viewing Area Dickcissel-young male Cooper's Hawk-adult American Tree Sparrow-3 Hairy Woodpecker Barred Owl-heard at dusk Carolina Wren Turkeys-They can be seen anywhere in the park.
