Our prestigious lineup includes the following: * John Rowlett of Charlottesville, Virginia, recipient of the Roger Tory Peterson Award given for a lifetime of achievements in promoting the cause of birding. Rowlett, a professional bird guide with Field Guides, has been involved in numerous avian discoveries in South America and Panama. * George Fenwick of The Plains, Virginia, recipient of the Chandler Robbins Award given for making significant contributions to birder education and/or bird conservation. Fenwick is the founder of the American Bird Conservancy and has worked with partners to create or expand 32 globally significant bird reserves in twelve countries in the Western Hemisphere. * Jane Kostenko and J. Tyler Bell of California, Maryland, recipients of the Claudia Wilds Award given for distinguished service to the ABA. Kostenko and Bell have worked at every ABA Convention since 1994. Kostenko also organized and chaperoned the ABA Young Birders? Conference in 2008. * Jim McCormac of Columbus, Ohio, recipient of the Ludlow Griscom Award given to a person who has dramatically advanced the state of ornithological knowledge for a particular region. McCormac is cofounder of the Ohio Ornithological Society and author of Birds of Ohio.
