A Pine Warbler was at West Creek Reservation this AM - southwest of the parking area. Ruby-crowned Kinglets were ridiculously abundant on the morning...the total of 78 was my highest count in nine years counting here. A Lousisiana Waterthrush was back on territory along the creek.

Emil Bacik and I spent yesterday in western Ohio, hoping for a hawk flight and some early migrants. Warblers along the bird trail/Ottawa driving tour have already been covered by others. We spent a couple early afternoon hours on the hawk tower, but the flight was fairly sporadic. Hawk totals included Sharp-shinned (16), Cooper's (4), Broad-winged (10), and Merlin (1), and three loons and a Pine Warbler passed the tower. The Eared Grebe was still present on CR 205, east of CR 282 in Bellevue.

Good birding -
