I just got back from a 3 hour walk at the Sycamore Plains Trail of Prairie Oaks MP. It was gorgeous, and the birds were very active despite the afternoon sun. I ran into several large, loose flocks of warblers down by the Big Darby Creek along the trail. The Blue-winged Warbler was in a tree next to the tall-grass fields, and allowed me to watch from close-range for quite a while. I also had a Yellow-throated Warbler come down on a branch about 8-10 feet from me to check me out. Pretty cool!
