Hi All, Today, 5/21/2009 Jim, Kent Miller and I observed the following; - 6:30AM Connecticut warbler At the northeast corner of Magee Marsh Wildlife Area north of where the road takes a 90 degree turn to the west. It was near the entrance to the beach trail. -9:30AM Kirtland's warbler (1st year bird) was seen at #31 on the east end of the boardwalk. Black terns (3) were at Metzger Marsh looking east from 3rd pull off. 6:30PM at Bellevue ponds on Bonham Rd. east of TR288 a female Wilson's phalarope was seen and at the corner of Flat Rock Rd. and Billman Rd. two Sandhill cranes were in a field on the northeast corner. At the boardwalk there were several flycatchers including around 10 yellow-bellies. An attempt was made to locate the loggerhead shrike, previously reported, but we could not find it.
