Yesterday I posted a Golden-winged Warbler on the Sugarbush Trail at Blendon Woods Metro Park. Now as Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story. The bird is actually a Brewster's Warbler. Sans an independent confirmation by others this is a species one is reluctant to post. Shortly after I located the Brewster's Warbler I ran into several other birders. Two of them, Mark Graham and Terri Kuehn immediately followed up on my directions and they were able to locate the bird. They confirmed that is was indeed a Brewster's Warbler. The bird has been in the area of the loop at the end of the Sugarbush Trail and it is a splendid example of a male adult with striking colors.
