At 7:00am there was a Piping Plover on the swimming beach at Maumee Bay
State Park. As you entered the beach parking lot if you went to the lot
closest to the lake and traveled to the far end of the lot the bird was on
the inland swimming beach right there. The bird was with Dunlins, Lesser
Yellowlegs and some peeps that I believe were Least Sandpipers, but I lost
track of them when I saw the Piping Plover. Sorry I didn't get this out
sooner, but I've been on the road all day and didn't have access to the
internet. I did tell some people I met at Black Swamp Bird Observatory when
I stopped on my way to Cleveland so I hope the word got out.
