While checking boxes at Kiwanis this week I spotted the following. The highlights were my first of the season ruby-throated hummingbird, a Carolina chickadee incubating her eggs, and the spotted sandpiper that has been hanging out there since Tuesday. The red-bellied woodpeckers appear to have nestlings now. I have seen both of the adults go into the cavity and leave after about 20 seconds. They did this several times. Lord Baltimore put on quite a show in his brightly colored orange and black robe.
