Hello, I should've posted this a week ago, but when I saw Rob Thorn's report that they had missed the Bell's Vireo today, I thought I would mention that I did see it one week ago (Saturday, May 30th) at about 3pm. It was singing in a small tree on the west side of the trail, at what I believe was the same location it was reported at before. Just to be clear about where I saw it, if you go to Homestead Park and park at the last parking lot, walk along the gravel trail past the butterfly garden and through the gap in the bushes onto the asphalt bikepath, turn right down the bikepath and then I saw the bird just before the second round white sign you come to (I don't recall the exact numbers on the sign). This is probably 300-500 yards down the path approximately. Again, this was a week ago, not today. Hopefully he's still around. I had to wait at this spot for about 3-5 minutes before he showed up and started singing. Anyways, bummer for those that missed it today. Luckily this site is fairly easily accessible.
