Highlights from an hour spent in the Ledges and Octagon trail head parking lots in the CVNP, Summit County, Ohio, June 4 at 8-9am. Broad-winged Hawk - 2, they almost certainly nest here and are seen paired up into June every year. Pileated Woodpecker - 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 3 Brown Creeper - 1 singing! Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 1 Acadian Flycatcher - 3 Eastern Pheobe - 1 Red-eyed Vireo - 3 Black-throated Green Warbler - 5 singing males Hooded Warbler - 4 Ovenbird - 3 Scarlet Tanager - 4 Wood Thrush - 2 Baltimore Oriole - 2 Indigo Bunting - 3 Birds which I have had previous years there but were not heard from today or at all this year were as follows: Kentucky Warbler, Louisiana Waterthrush, Blackburnian Warbler - has anyone had these species here this year? -Matthew Studebaker www.studebakerbirds.com ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
