Julie Karlson and I were out working on the OBBA2 this morning and heard
an Upland Sandpiper at another location. This is also in a soybean field
and about 2 1/2 miles from the previous location. It was on the western
edge of block 67B4SE on Selsor Moon Road near a ditch between Charleston
Road and Pancake and Selsor Road. There is probably not a very good
chance of actually seeing the bird. It can easily hide in the soybeans
and the field is huge. We also heard a Dickcissel just west and south
around the corner on Selsor Moon Road. A little farther south we had
several Bobolinks along the road.
