Not to be outdone by the birds at Lowe's in Bedford - now up to a yellowlegs and maybe a couple of western sandpipers, a brief sunset visit to Home Depot's catchment basin on Aurora Road on the border of Solon and Bainbridge turned up several Killdeers, a mid/small sized shorebird (possibly a Solitary, but too dark to tell) and several peeps of the Least or Western size variety. Perhaps another SE Cuyahoga County birder will take up the chase and check these guys out tomorrow. The basin is the first one adjacent to the contractor entrance to Hope Depot, on the north side of the building. There were 3 other ponds further north, but all appeared too deep for waders. The Mallards seemed to be enjoying them, however, and curious by their absence were the usual gaggle of Canadas often see along Aurora Road. Cheers...
