Hi all,

Brad Wilkinson and I birded Pickerel Creek this morning. The area north of the observatory tower held little interest besides a solitary Solitary Sandpiper among the yellowlegs. On the other hand, area B north of the woods was fantastic. Highlights include Hudsonian Godwit, White-rumped Sandpiper, a dozen Stilt Sandpipers, Red-necked Phalarope and a Black-bellied Plover holding on to its near breeding plumage. Of course the common species were also present including Least, Semipalmated and Pectoral Sandpipers, Semipalmated Plovers, both yellowlegs, Short-billed Dowitchers of assorted ages and Killdeer.
