The Army Corps of Engineers is already dropping the water level of Berlin Reservoir. Because of the early start there should be excellent mudflats in the Stark County section, hopefully producing a shorebird mecca, next week, before Labor Day!!!
There is presently a productive shorebird area between Price Street and Greenbower Road adjacent to SR225 opposite 3D-SPORTS. Birds seen about 5PM were:

Double-crested Cormorant 4+
Great Blue Heron 35+
Great Egret 24+
Green Heron 2
Osprey 2
Black-bellied Plover 3
Killdeer 40+
Greater Yellowlegs 3
Lesser Yellowlegs 9+
Solitary Sandpiper 5
Spotted Sandpiper 2
Semipalmated Sandpiper 20+
Least Sandpiper 10+
Ring-billed Gull 300+ (Includes SR225)
Caspian Tern 1
