I checked out the private wetland on Woods Road west of Rossburg, Ohio this afternoon. I didn't have a scope, but from behavior there was definitely a phalarope. Probably a Wilson's. It was in the water and going back and forth from one side to the front and then to the other side and back to the front, snagging food from top of water. Other birds: Gr. Bl. Heron Gr. Egret at least 35 killdeer Blue wing teal about 30 mallards about 10 least sandpiper at least 1 semi-palmated sandpiper 3 or 4 lesser and greater yellowlegs 2 tree swallows 1 barn swallow 3 crows ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
