Today's activities were definitely an odd couple. Linda and I took a short [2 hours] walk at Sharon Woods Metro Park to see what was about, and I also had an appointment with my allergists. The order of the two was less than swift. Walk through the world's biggest collection of ragweed and then visit the allergist 2 hours later. Back to the birds. Activity was slow most of the time with a few flourishes of activity. We only observed about 32 species and most were normal residents of the park. The species of note were Black-throated Blue Warbler, American Redstart and Yellow-throated Vireo. They were low in number but a definite sign that the fall migration has begun.
