Well, after I posted my second hand report of the Kirtlands Warbler at East Harbor State Park, I went to see it for myself. It had (of course) hidden itself away in the underbrush by the time that I (and many others) arrived. However, after I left, it was seen again by many observers between 3 and 4:30ish. The bird was hanging around a large locust tree on the east side of the Meadow Trail loop. It was again not visible when I went back. Oh well. Maybe it will still be around tomorrow. Also, it is apparently a female or immature bird, not an adult male as previously posted. Hopefully someone who has actually seen this bird will post more details, but I wanted to let potential chasers know that it was still there this afternoon.
