At the Ag Expo 2009 today, I was the leader of a bird outing to Stillfork Swamp Preserve; there were 24 participants. The one mile shuttle service to the site was a hay wagon pulled by a tractor, how cool is that! Here is a list of the 25 species seen today:

Canada Goose 1
Wood Duck 2
Blue-winged Teal 1 male
Turkey Vulture 7
Killdeer 3
Mourning Dove 2
Great Horned Owl 1
Chimney Swift 6
Red-bellied Woodpecker 4
Downy Woodpecker 1
Empidonax Flycatcher 3
White-eyed Vireo 1
American Crow 4
Carolina Chickadee 3
Tufted Titmouse 5
White-breasted Nuthatch 2
Brown Creeper 1
Gray Catbird 4
European Starling 40+
Cedar Waxwing 8+
Wilson's Warbler 1 male
Northern Cardinal 2 male
Red-winged Blackbird 3
Eastern Meadowlark 2
American Goldfinch 3

Note: The only negative of the day was being in a no service area and missing the phone call from Robert Hershberger about the Northern Wheatear!! Maybe tomorrow!!
