My husband and I drove 3+ hours to see the Northern Wheatear in Holmes County yesterday, and we were not disappointed.  The Ohio birding community is fortunate to have so many birders who help others find rarities like this, and families like the Yoders who welcome us onto their property to share their rare visitors.  I've never found a lifer quite like this one - in full view the moment we got out of the car, approachable (it actually approached us, not the other way around!), excellent weather, with a steadily-changing group of fellow birders to swap stories with as a bonus.

Not that you need to see any more photos, but I posted a few of the hundreds that I took in the hour or so we were there.
