It's time again to be looking for this rare fall migrant. Today while doing a bird census at a permit only sanctuary in Mahoning County; Shari Jackson found a Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow at about 10:30AM. This gorgeous, unmistakable beauty was also viewed at close range by Ronnie Macko, Denise Lane, and myself. On a return visit at 4PM the bird could not be relocated. Sixty three species were identified today!
