An early Sat. morning check at Blendon woods was rewarded with a flock of wild turkeys (21). I see them frequently but only a half dozen at a time. Quite a sight! I also was delighted to be surrounded in the meadow by a huge flock of goldfinch (75). Surprisingly i saw no yellow rumped warblers today and just two weeks ago I saw over 100. One female Gadwall on the pond.
