I was at Sims Park in Euclid this afternoon from 1:45 to 3:15pm. The visibility wasn't good and it was snowing in the beginning. I spent a long time looking at the scoters. On Wed afternoon, 12/16 there was one White-winged and one Surf Scoter and two Common Loons. I spent a long time looking at the White-winged until I saw the white wing when it came out of the water shaking its wings. Today, I also looked a long time at the scoters. One was clearly a Surf Scoter as the bill was orangish but the other I wasn't so sure of. But finally I could see no white-wings as the one came out of the water so I concluded they were both Surf Scoters. There was also a Black Scoter female. Also saw approx 90 Goldeneye.
