Last winter the most at one time was 2 or 3 tree sparrows. This year there have been a lot more, and lately are 15 to 20 under the feeders all day long. They like the thistle seeds the goldfinches drop. By contrast, there are only about 2 juncos at a time in the yard this year. But I see a lot of them in groups along the roadways. First just saw one in the bush, then saw two others by the platform feeder. They picked a good day to come here, I hadn't been able to get out to fill the feeders much lately, with the snow and the cold. > > Kathy McKibben > > Bedford ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
