I don't know about unrelenting publicity, but Bill is at least correct on one count. Spring migration does not take place in one spot, which is why the "Biggest Week" festival is designed (in part) to help introduce birders to some of the other fine birding areas along the Lake Shore. The festival features field trips spanning from Oak Openings to Old Woman's Creek (and many points in between), and trips to Point Pelee and Kelleys Island. I haven't had the opportunity to bird too many other places in Ohio during spring migration--since it's the busiest time of the year at the bird observatory--but I know that there are many migration hotspots in our fine State. No matter where you decide to go birding, this spring or any time of the year, I hope you'll consider inviting a new birder to go along with you! The publicity will be unrelenting. And don't forget that spring migration doesn't take place in just one spot!
