Highlights of a Wednesday morning swing through Lorain Co:

Wellington Reservoir - a patch of open water in the middle with several hundred Canada Geese, Mallards, and Coots with smaller numbers of Redhead, Canvasback, Black Duck, Ruddy Duck, and Ring-necked Duck.

Caley - no owls seen, but a nice mixed flock of chickadees etc. was there.

Oberlin Reservoir - a very small patch of open water with "ordinary" gulls, three Canada Geese, and four Ring-necked Ducks.

Lorain Co. Airport - One Red-tailed Hawk on the meteorological tower.  The area to the west of the runway was busy with men and machines removing the wreckage from Monday's deadly crash.
