That was a nice little video. I have a pretty nice map I got from some sort of conservatgion DoD program that shows US with all their major installations with some pretty pictures of birds etc. I couldn't remember the name of the program but managed to find their much updated website anyway which now has a nice downloadable pdf on shorebirds. Not id but habitat descriptions by guild and survey results (lots of charts and graphs). as well as a couple of other things including the map. Environmental issues tends to create strange bedfellows indeed. http://www.dodpif.org/publications/shorebird-guidebook.php I particularly love the map because it shows the division of the country into broad habitat areas - tall grass prairie, central hardwoods, etc. something I had never seen before http://www.dodpif.org/resources/map.php Marie, Dayon OH, from Albion MI For Ohio birds the original passed on video is here http://video.nytimes.com/video/2010/02/21/science/earth/1247467036149/military-bases-as-wildlife-havens.html?emc=eta1 ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
