Hello All,
I spent the morning birding in Shawnee Forest. With the south winds of the past few days, I was expecting some early migrant and I was not dissappointed. The following were the highlights:
Yellow Throated Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler -2
Black and White Warbler - 1
Pine Warbler - 1
Louisiana Waterthrush - at least 30 singing males
Blue-headed Vireo - 6
Brown Thrasher - back in good numbers
Gold-crowned Kinglet - Everywhere
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 3
Fox Sparrow - 1
Hermit Thrush - 1

Suprisingly I saw no Blue-grey Gnatcatchers. It was great to see warblers again!
