This morning along the Rocky River in the metroparks (near the parking lot across the street from the Rockcliff exit) I saw two small birds that I think were warbling vireos, but I am not entirely sure. They were the right size and color, but they were much fluffier than most of the sleek-looking photos I have seen of these birds. They almost looked like miniature phoebes. Is it possible they could have been anything other than warbling vieros? They were tan on top, white underneath and had a very feint eye line. Maybe the feathers were fluffed out because it was so windy? I found this photo online and it's the only one that looks like what I saw (as I say, the other photos are much sleeker): http://www.pwconserve.org/wildlife/birds/vireo_warbling.htm Thanks for any help.
