Kenn Kaufman just reported a singing male Kirtland's Warbler on the east beach at Magee Marsh. The east beach entrance is at the end of the long straight stretch of the causeway back to Magee Marsh. There's a gravel drive that continues north where the paved road makes a sharp turn to the left (west). At the end of the gravel road is a parking lot for the east beach. Here's a map of Magee so you can see what the heck I'm talking about: http://www.bsbo.org/birding/pdf/Magee_Marsh_Map.pdf Last night's strong southwest winds delivered a tremendous number of migrants to our doorstep. It's like a massive migration celebration around here today! ~kim Kimberly Kaufman Executive Director Black Swamp Bird Observatory 13551 West State Route 2 Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449 419-898-4070 www.bsbobird.org www.ohioyoungbirders.org www.biggestweekinamericanbirding.com Follow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/BSBOBIRD Become a fan on Facebook: www.facebook.com/BSBOBIRD ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
