Virginia Wilson found, and photographed, a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher in
western Hamilton County this morning. While attempts to relocate it this
afternoon were not successful, others plan to try again in the morning.
The best spot for updates will probably be the Cincinnatibirds sightings
log, at http://cincinnatibirds.com/goodbird/sighting.php.

If anyone wants to look, the bird was at the Kilby Road conservation
area, owned by Hamilton County Park District. To reach the area, take
I-275 around the west side of Cincinnati, to the Kilby Road exit. Turn
left (north) onto Kilby for 1.6 miles to a brown metal barn on the right
(east) side of the road, where you can park. Follow the gravel road
across the road from the barn (foot traffic ONLY) for about a mile, to
where the bird was seen between the second and third ponds. This road
continues for another mile or so, through similar habitat. The area
behind the barn, which is also park district property, has hosted Blue
Grosbeaks and Lark Sparrows in the past couple of weeks.
