The purple gallinule was still there Wednesday evening as of 6:15 p.m.--a very beautiful bird! And so cooperative for birders. . . and well worth the drive after work!

Anyone still needing directions--Columbia Reservation was easy to find: I-71 to Rte 82 Royalton Rd just past the Rte 252 intersection (traffic light), on the south side of the road. The paved path forks--take the left fork and the gallinule is in the near end of the pond on the right. Signs also point the way.
