Lake Hope State Park & Zaleski State Forest are located 14 miles south of Nelsonville(Rte 33) off of Rte 278. On Tuesday(May 11th), I arrived in this area while it was still raining. When the rain stopped, the "Show" began. The birds came out & were singing & feeding everywhere. From 9:00am till 2:30pm, it did not rain. Then it rained from 2:30 till 3:00. At 3:00, I arrived at a Service Rd off of King Hollow Rd. It was almost like "morning" birding. THe bird were singing & feeding everywhere. This lasted for over 3 hours. I had 31 Warblers & a Golden-winged/Blue-winged hybrid at Lake Hope Schoolhouse. It looked very similar to a Brewster's 1st generation adult female(according to Sibley) However, the back & the top of the head was very yellow. A very beautiful bird. Below is a list of some of the birds seen & heard at places I either stopped or hiked. While I waas driving around, I heard birds everywhere!! Hunter's Camp- off of Atkinson's Ridge Rd.
