Wow! I heard lots of warbler songs as I approached the Strawberry picnic area at North Chagrin Reservation, Cuyahoga County. The mostly oak tree tops were absolutely swarming with a fantastic array of warbler species in good numbers: blackburnian, bay-breasted, black-throated blue, black-throated green, magnolia, yellow-rumped, American redstart, black and white. Also present in the trees were eastern wood-pewees, a non-vocal empidonax flycatcher and a yellow-billed cuckoo just hanging out. On the Wildflower trail heard several ovenbirds and hooded warblers, Acadian flycatchers, scarlet tanagers, wood thrushes, etc. A great birdy couple of hours in the woods, fer sure! ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
