There was very little bird activity at Sheldon's Marsh this afternoon. Many of the transients that have been around (kinglets, gnatcatchers, yellow-rumps) were gone or quiet. Based on last night's radar image there was only a little migration through the area; the transients might have left and few migrants filled in behind them. It was also very windy today and that probably kept some birds from moving around much (or at least being seen). The new birds were Baltimore Oriole, Wood Thrush, Eastern Kingbirds, and lots of Gray Catbirds. House and Carolina wrens were singing everywhere.
