Last Saturday (6/1) when I went to Villa Angela & Wildwood State Parks on the east side of Cleveland I ran into Mark Anderson who was leaving. He pointed out a male Hooded Merganser swimming in Euclid Creek near the bridge of Wildwood State Park that had been there for about a week. It was still there when I went there this afternoon. When I left a few hours later there was a female with it. Occasionally, in past summers, I have only seen a single female Hooded Merganser in the marina area.

Also heard a American Redstart in the woods.
There does seem to be an abundance of Cedar Waxwings this summer with over 25 seen or heard each visit.
