I'm not in Ohio at the moment; I'm on vacation in Massachusetts, but as far as I can tell there are no birds here that don't also live in Ohio, so hopefully someone can help me. I've been hearing a singing bird the last few days, something I've never heard before, but something that must be reasonably common because I heard it several times in my father's yard, and also I heard three different birds calling back and forth to each other from the woods, out on a nature trail (I looked everywhere and couldn't find spot any of the three even though it was obvious what trees they were in!) The song is a vibrating trill, repeated about four times consecutively, and it's very rich, sounding like it's in an echo chamber. It's rather remarkable that one bird could make this sound, but it is definitely just one. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
