Had a very nice day today.  While having my mourning coffee,  I went to the living room to see what creatures were at my feeder if any.  To my surprise I had a Turkey with eight chicks picking through all the droppings under the feeder.  Then a flash of red caught my eye--a pair of purple finches;  and beside them a pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.  Not a bad way to start your day.   After finishing my coffee,  decided to check on the weather.  Called for rain late this afternoon,  so I decided to venture forth and then pick up groceries on the way home.  I swerved east of Chardon, and decided to do some hiking at Hell Hollow Wilderness Area.  Cat birds,  Red-eye Vireos,  Flicker.  Then I heard the Black-throated Green singing.  High in a hemlock tree;  a bright male.  With 6 species of Dragons along the creek,  it made for a perfect day.
