Hi all,
About 20 mins ago (8:00ish) I observed the Arctic Tern at maumee bay SP. The bird was not around when I arrived at about 7, and another pair of birders hadn't seen it. But a weak front had just come through, so I spent some time searching the area. Due to the human disturbances, the birds were moving a lot, which made picking through them difficult. I almost gave up before a group of terns flew in off the lake to the east end of the beach- including the Arctic. It offered a nice study next to many plumages of commons, including when it flew out a hundred yards and landed with a group of commons on the lake. Hopefully, since it is late, it may still be here tomorrow. Good luck,
Steve Landes
