I finished checking my boxes for the year on the pet trail at Highbanks
Metro Park this morning (another sign of Fall) and at one point, ran into a
flock of 8 or more Blue-gray Gnatcatchers. As I continued to follow the
flock along the tree line, I was rewarded with a single male and female
Blackburnian warbler and a single male Canada warbler. They quickly
dispersed and I did not see another warbler for the remainder of my walk.
There were also good numbers of flycatchers all morning - Eastern Wood
Pewees and Willow Flycatchers.

Directions to Highbanks are at www.metroparks.net and park information is on
the OOS web site.
