As Allan Clabon and I were leaving the Caesar Creek beach after having distant views of the previously reported Franklin's Gull through Leslie Houser's scope, we spotted a Black-bellied Plover chasing a Killdeer. The plover clearly showed a big wing stripe, a white tail, and black axillars. We usually get half a dozen or so through here every year, but generally somewhat later than this.
