I decided to give a the lake a shot in hopes of jaegers and all. Although I didn't see any, it was still a great day considering that its only the 4th of September. Best birds were 2 very early red-breasted mergansers and 2 black terns. I do not see a lot of black terns here. Lots of ring-billed gulls. The way the wind was blowing many were flying sideways and backwards. Picking anything different out of the gulls would have been difficult early.
