I had to go to Columbus today to see a relative and didn't get back until 5pm. I really wanted to know what I could find at Villa Angela/Wildwood before the walk Sunday. I had been there Friday afternoon, had seen a few good birds but didn't post it as I only saw two species of warblers. I believe some more birds came in today that I did not see Friday and some I saw Friday were still there. First here is some of what I saw from 6:05pm to 7:15pm Saturday (less what was already posted today) Villa Angela 10/9 Saturday American Coot 1 honking loudly in Euclid Creek (Wildwood) Red-breasted Nuthatches 4 (3 in pine tree near lake west end - one southwest of bathhouse area Winter Wrens 2 Orange-crowned Warbler 1 (west of grassy knoll area) Nashville Warbler 1 Black-throated Blue 1f Blackpoll Warbler 1 Common Yellowthroat 1 Wilson's Warbler 1 Field Sparrow 1 Song Sparrow - few Dark-eyed Junco 1 Villa Angela on 10/8 Friday 12:00 to 2:15pm Winter Wren 1 House Wren 1 Eastern Phoebe 1 Blue-headed Vireos 2 (one in field, one in pine tree near lake) Red-breasted Nuthatch 3 or 4 (all in pine tree near lake west end) Brown Creepers 4 Winter Wren 1 House Wren 1 Ruby-crowned & Golden-crowned Kinglets - some of each Hermit Thrush 4 Yellow-rumped Warbler - so many it was annoying Blackpoll Warblers - few Field Sparrow 1 Fox Sparrow 1 (near lake) Song Sparrow - few Lincoln Sparrow 1 in field White-throated (didn't count) & White-crowned 2 Dark-eyed Junco 3 Sims Park 10/8 (Friday) Northern Flickers 3 Red-breasted Nuthatch 1 both Kinglets Hermit Thrush 3 Yellow-rumped Warbles 10+ Nashville Warbler 2 Sims Park 10/7 Thursday Red-breasted Mergansers 6 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1 Nancy Anderson Richmond Hts, OH ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
