I went to Villa Angela and Wildwood State Parks on the east side of Cleveland today from 11am to 1:45 and then 4:15 to 5:30pm. It seemed very dull around 11 and picked up a little after 12:15pm when the sun came out. Here were a few of the birds I saw: Great Blue Heron 1 Black-crowned Night-Heron 1 adult (saw adult & immature 10/15) Belted Kingfisher 1 Red-bellied Woodpeckers 2 Blue-headed Vireo 2 Blue Jays - numerous BC Chickadees - many, Tufted Titmouse - 2 Red-breasted Nuthatch 1, White-breasted 1 Brown Creeper 2 House Wren 1 Winter Wren 5 Golden-crowned Kinglets & Ruby-crowned - numerous Hermit Thrush 5 Northern Mockingbird 1 Yellow-rumped Warblers - not huge amount Eastern Towhee 1 male Fox Sparrow 1 (one also seen 10/15/10) Song Sparrow - few Swamp Sparrow 1 White-throated - not huge amount Nancy Anderson Richmond Hts, OH http://www.flickr.com/photos/nancy_a/ ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
