This AM Bob Powell and I visited Caesar Creek beach to try to photograph the Avocets which were there yesterday. They were gone but in their place were twenty-nine Franklin's Gulls.Around 8:45 something spooked the flock and only one of the Franklin's returned while we were there. Some years ago I had a similar flock on the same beach and still have a photo of the group. We were hoping to get a photo of the flock today and still hope they were not far and will return to the beach. It is a sight worth sharing. We also made a quick stop at Harveysburg Road and saw about 100 Coots and a few Bonaparte's Gulls. There were none on the beach.
