I stopped at Highland Park Cemetery at 4 pm to look for the merlins. Two birds, both on the golf course, perched in separate maples a few hundred feet apart. Preening in the sunlit branches. I've been able to locate at least one bird on most passes through the cemetery in the last couple of weeks. Also, the first large congregation of crows I've seen there this fall. Well over 500 birds.
