Clark County Audubon had a field trip to Buck Creek State Park Saturday morning. There were a few birds at the south end of the lake including some Redheads, Canvasbacks, Ruddy Ducks, Pied-billed and Horned Grebes, and Common Loons. At the north end of the lake on the mudflats we found 20+ Dunlins, a few Killdeer, 5+ Wilson's Snipe, lots of Ring-billed and Bonaparte's Gulls, and a few Herring Gulls. There were also a few American Pipits walking on the mudflats. Then we went to Old Reid Park which is adjacent to the park on the southwest side where we found 6 Cackling Geese. Larry Jeanblanc took a few pictures and I posted a couple on our chapter's website at http://www.clarkcountyohioaudubon.org/5001.html Doug Overacker Springfield, Ohio ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
