Greetings-

Between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m I watched and photographed a single adult
winter Black-headed Gull amidst throngs of Bonaparte's and Ring-billed
Gulls in Lorain Harbor proper. At least 5,000 Bonies were present. It
was a sheer spectacle. A single immature Pomarine Jaeger- originally
found by Gabe Leidy earlier in the afternoon, entered the harbor once
but kept to the lake beyond the breakwall. The horde of gulls in the
harbor was a sight to see.

Photos of the Black-headed Gull will appear on my blog later this
evening, with full details.

Best of birding-
Jen
